ファー！

ゴルフのファー！はfarではなく、foreであることを知ったのが運のつきでした。

それならば、

フォー！

としたいところですが、

アイツ球を打ち込んだ上に、ＨＧのモノマネか？　寒い奴だゼ。

などと、あらぬ誤解を受けかねないので、やめておきます。
であれば、カタカナ英語よろしく

フォアー！

にしようとも思いましたが、私の周りはみんな

ファー！

で、むしろこの方がそれらしい発音な気もします。


だいたいこの、ファー！というのは何でしょう？
人がミスショットしたとたん、キャディーさんが皆に聞こえる声で

ファー！

いえ、皆に聞こえなくては意味ないです、はい、確かに。
聞こえるように言ってくれて、ありがとう。


皆さんも危険ですので、大きな声でファー！と叫びましょう。

I haven't gotten anything done recently. I've just been hanging out doing nothing. I haven't been up to anything these days, but it's not important. Today was a total loss.
